Missing veteran from North Chicago has been found safe

KENOSHA/PLESANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) -- A Green Alert was canceled late Tuesday morning after a missing veteran was found safe.

Patrick Byron McCann, 46 of North Chicago, Illinois, was reported to have left the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center on Monday at 7:45 a.m., according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs FHCC Police Department. Law enforcement believed he was heading to Kenosha or Pleasant Prairie.

Authorities released he was found safe shortly before Noon on Tuesday. They have not disclosed where he was found.
