MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Habitat for Humanity of Dane County kicked off its Executive Women's Build in Sun Prairie Friday, part of an effort to build homes for women in need.
Over 30 female executives put on their hard hats and got to work in Sun Prairie's Vandenburg Heights neighborhood.
"Well I do think it's good to have the hands-on aspect," said Jane Braatz, controller at Findorff. "It's also fun to be able to do more than what I thought we were able to do. I'm learning how to drive in the nails with the hammer - but its a lot of fun."
Compared to Habitat's over programs, Friday's event was all about women creating homes for other women in need, and giving them the tools to succeed.
