The clouds will move out tonight and the winds will calm down late. This will allow the atmosphere to cool rapidly into the upper 20’s. Sunshine and southerly flow will warm us up very quickly on Monday. On Tuesday a warm from will approach us from our south which will allow temperatures to rebound into the 60’s. Later in the week an intense low-pressure system will eject across the Colorado Rockies. This slow moving system will strengthen as it pushes towards Wisconsin. Light rain will develop Wednesday along the initial warm front before heavier rains arrive Thursday. At this system our data is in agreement that widespread rain totals could exceed 1-3” with locally higher totals possible. Gusty winds will accompany this system as well.
