MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- According to an annual Wisconsin Homeless Management Information Systems report, more than 27,000 people in the state are homeless.

With Mother's Day right around the corner, Beverly Broyles, the Director of Communication with YWCA of Rock County is just one community member trying to help women who are struggling in Southern Wisconsin.

You can help by participating in the Movers for Moms donation drive. There are more than 100 businesses participating with donation boxes. They are asking for essential care items, especially gas cards.

The boxes will be collected May 10th and delivered on May 12th.
