MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) Wisconsin is bracing for some of the coldest temperatures on record. Life-threatening low temperatures are in store for Wednesday with wind chills of nearly 60 below zero. Many schools, businesses, and government offices are closed.

To put this into perspective, our sister stations across the country shared videos explaining what the weather situation was like in each of their communities.

Use this interactive map, built by our sister station in Omaha, NE to see what weather conditions are like around the country. Those in Hawaii say it's cold, but it's nothing compared to what the Midwest is feeling.
