Bucky on Parade: Interview with event organizer

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)-- It's Bucky like you've never seen him before. Dozens of life-size Bucky statues will be on display this summer.

NBC15's Amy Pflugshaupt spoke with Kate Dale, one of the organizers of "Bucky on Parade". Dale is with the Madison Area Sports Commission.

"Everyone is used to seeing Bucky in a red and white striped sweater," said Dale. "This is the first time we get to see him in a very different way."

From pennies to tile mosaics, artists created Bucky statues from various materials and all 85 statues have different designs.

"We were blown away by what they did," said Dale. "I expected some fun designs, but these are mind-blowing."

The statues will be unveiled to the public on May 7.
