SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) -- Former Badger and current NFL player J.J. Watt donated $10,000 to a fundraiser for the family of the firefighter killed responding to the Sun Prairie explosion.

Watt has previously donated to various causes. More recently, Watt offered to pay for the funerals of the 10 people killed in a shooting at Santa Fe High School.

Previously, Watt's foundation raised $37 million to relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Watt was awarded the 2017 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award for his efforts.

Captain Cory Barr of the Sun Prairie Volunteer Fire Department was killed in the line of duty while responding to the explosion.

Captain Barr was the owner of Barr House, one of the buildings demolished by the explosion.

GoFundMe created a page that lists verified fundraisers meant to help those affected by the explosion. You can find all of the fundraisers through this link.
