JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV)-- On National Signing Day, the University of Wisconsin Badgers football team welcomed 25 additions, including a senior from Janesville.
Janesville Craig DL Keeanu Benton signed his letter of intent to play for the Badger football team Wednesday afternoon.
"I took visits to other schools and they couldn't compare to what Wisconsin had to offer for me...even if I don't succeed in football or go to the NFL I'll have a world class degree from Wisconsin," said Benton.
Benton is a three-star recruit by 247 Sports, ESPN, and Rivals. He was selected to the first-team all-state by the Associates Press along with being named to the all-region and All-Big East Conference as a Senior.

"Athletically he's come a long way, but as a staff were a lot prouder about how he's grown as a young man. He's become a lot better of a teammate over the last two years. Our entire staff and program wish him well, and we can't wait to see what the next few years bring for Keeanu and Wisconsin," said Adam Bunderson,Janesville Craig football head coach,.
Benton was also a two-time state qualifier in wrestling, finishing as Division 1 runner-up as a junior with a 48-2 record.
"I think the plan is to redshirt, get bigger and stronger so I can come back and dominate," said Benton
Benton along with 19 other players signed their letters, along with six more as walk-ons on National Signing Day.
