Janesville PD: Stranger approaches girl near elementary school

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV)— Police are searching for a vehicle that approached an elementary school student on Monday afternoon.

The Janesville Police Department said the Jackson Elementary student reported that a black, small sized SUV approached her at the intersection of Kellogg St. and Adel St. around 3:30 p.m. A male driver and rear seat passenger asked the girl to get into the vehicle because it was cold outside. The student took off. The SUV left in an unknown direction.

Police described the vehicle as being a smaller black SUV with a dent in the driver’s side door and darkly tinted windows.
