JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) -- A Janesville man was arrested for his seventh OWI after attempting to run away from police early Sunday morning.
Pharon J. Voegeli was stopped in the area of Milton Avenue and Mt. Zion Street for failing to stop at a stop sign at 12:32 a.m., according to the Janesville Police Department.
Upon coming to a stop, the 39-year-old suspect exited the vehicle and began running away from an officer. After a short pursuit, Voegeli was taken into custody after being tased.
Voegeli appeared intoxicated and refused sobriety tests. He was arrested for his seventh offense of operating while intoxicated, resisting an officer and a probation hold. Voegeli is being held at the Rock County Jail.
