Activities to keep kids learning this summer
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)-- July 13th is National Summer Learning Day.
A campaign launched by Lands’ End aims to make sure education doesn’t stop during the summer months.
It's called the #LoveLearning campaign.
The National Summer Learning Association says during the summer children can experience what is called the ‘summer slide.’ That’s where kids can fall behind in their education because they’re not engaged.
To help prevent the 'summer slide,' for the next eight-weeks Lands' End has partnered with science enthusiast Steve Spangler to create do-it-yourself science experiments.
They're encouraging families to try the different experiments and post their photos and videos on social media with "#LoveLearning."
