MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Madison police say employees at a restaurant on Madison's west side were robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning.
Police say just after 3:30 a.m., two workers at La Bamba restaurant on Gammon Road were finishing their closing duties when one employee briefly unlocked a door.
Upon unlocking the door, officials say he was immediately confronted by a suspect pointing a handgun at him.
The suspect forced both employees to lay on the floor, and stole cash before running away, according to authorities.
The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, around 6-feet tall with a thin build. A black bandana or scarf was covering his face and he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
One employee suffered minor injuries from being pushed to the ground by the suspect.
