Local "Ninja Warriors" and fans of the show put their skills to the test Sunday evening at a Madison gym.
ORTHDX Natural Fitness houses the only Ninja Warrior course in the city, and they hosted a competition for kids and adults on Saturday and Sunday.
Some competitors in the adult division had also competed on American Ninja Warrior. Sunday's youngest competitor was just 13.
Competitors muscled their way through more than a dozen obstacles. They were ranked based on how far they made it through the course and their time.
Zachary Kemmerer, who competed on American Ninja Warrior in 2016, said he encourages everyone to try this.
"It's a lot of fun, the people are really great, and you'll be surprised. First you'll get your first pull-up, then you'll get your first rung on the salmon ladder, then you're going up the warped wall. It's really empowering. It takes a little work, but it's a great journey," Kemmerer said.
American Ninja Warrior airs Mondays at 7 p.m. on NBC15.
