MPD: 2 men arrested in heroin investigation

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)--- Two Madison men face drug charges after an investigation into heroin dealing.

Joel Despain, a spokesperson with the Madison Police Department, said The Dane County Narcotics Task Force, with assistance from MPD SWAT and the MPD's Gang Unit, served search warrants on the suspects’ homes on Wednesday. One of the homes was on Westbrook Circle and the other home in the 1600 block of Northport Drive.

Despain said heroin, a gun, ammunition, cell phones, drug packaging, and digital scales were among the items confiscated.

45-year-old Juan R. Longino was arrested near his home for delivery of heroin - 3 counts, possession of heroin, and on a parole hold.

49-year-old Marc G. Craven was arrested near his home for delivery of heroin - party to a crime - 2 counts, possession of heroin with intent to deliver, felon in possession of a firearm, and on a probation hold.
