MPD: 2 strangers attack and rob man

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)---A man was attacked and robbed by two men while he was returning home to his apartment on Monday night.

According to the Madison Police Department, it happened in the man’s entryway to his building on Island Drive around 10:45 p.m.

The 27-year-old man told police that one of the men was armed with a handgun, and that he struggled with this man. The victim was struck multiple times in the head. He was transported to a local hospital. His keys and other personal items were taken by the robbers.

Police said a neighbor saw the men running away and believes they took off in a car.
