MPD: Burglar steals rifle, electronics, and jewelry from home

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)--- A Madison man reported his assault rifle was stolen during a burglary on Friday afternoon.

Joel DeSpain, a spokesperson with the Madison Police Department, said it happened at a home in the 1600 block of Fordem Avenue.

The 26-year-old man said a back door to his apartment had been left unlocked. Electronics and jewelry were also missing.
