Police released photos of a man they said robbed a Madison bank on Monday.

The Madison Police Department said the robber held up the Chase Bank on Milwaukee Street just before 5 p.m. He wore a Deadpool or Spiderman type Halloween mask and kept his hand in his pocket which made it appear like he had a gun.

A witness told police that the man was loud and demanding as he ordered an employee to turn over cash. One customer said he had a large belly and a “big butt”. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and black shoes with white trim.

Police said the masked man took off with some of the bank’s money.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5’9” to 5’10” tall with a heavy build. He weighs about 200 to 250 pounds and has a big belly. He also has black facial stubble.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014.
