MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Police responded to a burglary at a house on Huxley Street on Friday, Oct. 5 around 7:26 p.m.

According to the Madison Police Department, the intruder took seven guns from the residence and would have likely taken more if the owners didn’t arrive home during the incident.

Police said the owners, a husband and wife, discovered a rear window was broken from two gun cases that were stolen. Officers also found several more behind the garage. It is believed that the burglar left them behind after realizing the residents returned.
