MPD: Suspects steal 90 bottles of baby formula from Walmart
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – On Friday at 1:30 p.m. a man and a woman were arrested for stealing 90 cans of baby formula from the Walmart located at 4198 Nakoosa Trail.
According to the Madison Police Department, the suspects put the formula in a shopping cart and covered the cans with t-shirts and other merchandise before pushing the cart out without paying.
When the police arrived the suspects were still in the parking lot and the baby formula was recovered from the trunk of the suspects’ car. Walmart staff said the retail value of the stolen items were approximately $1,500.
The suspects were identified as Antonio Tate, age 23 of Milwaukee and Jamieka Coleman-Wertz, age 24 of Chicago. Both were arrested for felony retail theft.
