MPD arrests 2 high school students for sexual assault

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)--- Police arrested two teens after a sexual assault happened inside a Madison high school on Wednesday afternoon.

Joel DeSpain, a spokesperson with the Madison Police Department, said it happened inside East High School on East Washington Avenue.

A 15-year-old student told East High’s School Resource Officer (SRO) that she was sexually assaulted by two male students inside a bathroom sometime around 4 p.m.

DeSpain said one 15-year-old boy was arrested on Thursday night on a tentative charge of second degree sexual assault of a child. The second 15-year-old boy was taken into custody by East’s SRO on Friday morning. He is facing a tentative charge of second degree sexual assault of a child.
