A Madison brewery is living up to their promise to give back to the community. Delta Beer Lab recently held a month-long food drive and fundraiser benefiting The River Food Pantry. The effort back in May brought 255 pounds of food at $1,848 in donations.

According to The River Food Pantry, that money will provide 1,200 lunches for kids in Dane County this summer.

Delta Beer Lab has a “no tipping” policy at the brewery on located on E. Badger Road, just off Rimrock Road. If someone does tip, that money goes directly to a chosen charity each month.

On Delta’s website it states “On the social side of our lab, we will show that business can do well and do good at the same time, and that this synergy actually amplifies both,”

The River Food Pantry has been in Madison since 2006. “The River Food Pantry provides food, resources and faith to build a stronger community. Services include free groceries, meals and clothing, as well as free mobile lunches for children and teens on non-school days,” according to their Facebook page.
