MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Madison police arrested a man in connection with an assault that left another man unconscious in May.
Police said they arrested 49-year-old Zaim Muqtasid of Madison Thursday afternoon on tentative charges of first degree reckless endangering safety and disorderly conduct while armed.
On May 20, a 46-year-old Madison man was knocked out and taken to a hospital with a head injury, after Muqtasid allegedly hit the victim with his car on Thierer Road.
According to police, the victim, who was with his children, got into an argument with the suspect, who was a stranger to the victim. Police said Muqtasid pulled out a knife and began swinging it at the victim, before getting behind the wheel of his car.
Police said Muqtasid then drove at the victim. The victim jumped up and landed on the car's hood before rolling off and hitting his head on the pavement.
