Early voting at libraries in Madison are a success

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Thousands in Madison have cast their ballots at an In-Person Absentee Voting locations at libraries.

The Madison City Clerk is looking for more volunteers to work at In-Person Absentee Voting locations at several libraries across the city,

She says around 75 percent of the 9,000 ballots cast in early voting have come from these library locations.

"Since this is the first time, nobody really knew how many people would be showing up and they show up, a lot. We just have a constant flow of people," volunteer Judy Sikora says.

The locations are open late and on the weekends, giving voters the chance to cast their ballots when it's convenient for them.
