MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Madison police said they are trying to figure out what happened during a downtown fight that sent one man to the hospital.
Officers were called to a hospital on Monday night after a 55-year-old man arrived with a cut to his chest that required several sutures to close.
Police said the man tried to intervene in a fight between two men who only knows by street names. He said a third man got involved and made swinging motions towards the group.
The victim later realized he had been injured, according to authorities.
Police are trying to establish a location for the fight with the hopes of securing surveillance video.
