MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Police are searching for five men after another attack at Hub Madison apartments downtown Thursday night.

According to the Madison Police Department, just after 8 p.m. five African-American men started beating on a door on the ninth floor of the apartments on North Frances Street. When a man inside the apartment opened the door, the men allegedly forced their way in, one of them claiming they had a gun, then started beating up the man, knocking him to the ground and stomping on his head.

That's when officers said the men then kicked in a locked bedroom door, stealing money and items before running away.

Just last weekend, two men were arrested after a stabbing at Hub Madison.

So far, police have not found any of the five men connected to the violent robbery. An investigation has been opened, and if anyone has information, they should contact the Madison Police Department or Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014.
