Madison teacher not returning to school after allegedly attacking a middle school student
A Madison middle school teacher is not returning after allegedly pushing a student and ripping out three of her braids last Wednesday.
Madison Metropolitan School District said it needs to wait for the investigation to be over to determine next steps for the teacher from Whitehorse Middle School.
"As a district we take any situation of this nature very seriously," Rachel Strauch-Nelson, a district spokesperson, said in a statement. "The staff person was put on leave while the situation was investigated. Based on that investigation, the staff person will not return to Whitehorse Middle School, and we are determining next steps."
