Making a Difference: Man behind the orchestra

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- For more than 30 years Maestro James Smith has helped develop the talents of some of Wisconsin's finest young musicians. Smith has worked at both the UW and with Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras.

This spring, he's stepping down from the podium and retiring. Before he takes his final bow, we are presenting Maestro smith with this month's NBC15 Making a Difference Award.
