MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- A suspect is at-large after punching a woman in the face near downtown Madison on Thursday night.
Madison police met with a 48-year-old woman who reported a man yelled something at her and then followed her when she was walking on N. Carroll Street at 8:00 p.m., according to Madison Police Chief Mike Koval's blog.
The victim stated that the suspect caught up to her and tried to "give her a hug." The woman said she pushed the suspect away, when he then punched her twice in the face.
The suspect fled on foot and the victim had visible injuries. The suspect is at-large and police are still investigating.
