MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) --- Thousands of college students are preparing for the new school year. Before it starts, there's usually a lot of moving that needs to be done.
"Moving Days" started Friday. IIt gives students and the community a way to reduce, reuse and recycle household items.
"It's amazing what people get rid of and a lot of that stuff will end up on the curb because they don't know people that need it and places that it can go where it can actually be used,” said Madeline Fischer, UW Madison office of Sustainability spokesperson.
This year there are some changes to Moving Days. There will be one centralized location for people to drop off or pick up household items.
