COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. (WMTV) -- A 17-year-old female is dead and four others are injured after a head-on collision crash on I-94 near Cottage Grove Sunday morning. As the vehicles hit each other, two people were ejected from the vehicles, authorities confirmed.
Two vehicles traveling westbound lost control at 11:08 a.m. at milepost 243.6. One of those vehicles then went through the median and crashed into another vehicle travelling eastbound head-on, according to a release from the Wisconsin State Patrol and Department of Transportation.
One person was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries, and three were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. State Patrol said one person in the crash was unhurt.
The names of the victims are being withheld by authorities pending notification of family.
Two people were ejected from their vehicles during the crash, Sun Prairie Fire Department said in a press release.
All lanes have now been reopened after being closed at I-39/90 near the Badger exit for three and a half hours, according to a Wisconsin Department of Transportation press release.

and Cottage Grove PD.
A Med Flight helicopter request was cancelled during emergency response to the scene.
