Must Do's for launching a real estate career

While it's soon back to school time for kids, it can be the start of new beginnings for adults too.

Owner and Broker of Realty Executives Cooper Spransy, Dan Spransy sat down with Meghan Reistad to talk about the four must do's in launching a real estate career.

1. Be realistic about the time commitment.

With a career change comes a lot of hard work and dedication. Building a business in the first few years can be tough, but if done right, things will move in the right direction and sales will happen.

2. Motivation is key.

The most successful agents come in to the office everyday with a positive attitude and a desire to learn more.

3. Seek out advanced learning opportunities.

Don't be afraid to ask for opportunities to build your knowledge and continue learning, whether it's from the first day on the job or if you're a veteran.

4. Take care of your database.

When starting out, your friends and family will almost always be your most immediate source of business because they know and trust you.
