NBC15 nominated for 8 Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards

Members of the NBC15 news team are up for a total of eight honors at the 60th Annual Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards.
The regional chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences will announce the 2018 award winners during a red carpet event in downtown Chicago, Saturday, Nov. 10.
NBC15’s eight nominations are the most received by any station in the Madison television market. The nominees are:
- Arts/Culture/Entertainment: “Bucky on Parade” by the NBC15 Team
- Education/Schools: “Grandpa Fred” by John Stofflet and Jeremy Nichols
- Human Interest: “The Widow's Ring” by John Stofflet and Jeremy Nichols
- Military: “The Woman in the Picture” by John Stofflet, Jeremy Nichols and Carol Larson
- Weather: “Anniversary of the Barneveld Tornado" by AJ Waterman
- Societal Concerns: “Deadly Distraction” by Morgan Wolfe
- News Editor: Morgan Wolfe
- Writer – News: John Stofflet
WMTV competes against television stations in the Green Bay-Appleton, Madison, Milwaukee, and Wausau-Rhinelander markets; and also stations in Chicago, Peoria-Bloomington, and Rockford, Illinois; and South Bend-Elkhart, Indiana.
The nominations were announced in September.
WMTV’s sister-stations -- WBAY in Green Bay and WNDU in South Bend -- also received nominations.
