The Dane County Sheriff's Office will be sharing never-before released details in a social media campaign on a priest's murder that happened nearly 20 years ago.

Father Alfred Kunz recorded his final radio broadcast on March 3, 1998. The next morning, he was found dead, brutally murdered, inside the school connected to St. Michael Catholic Church in the Village of Dane. The murder remains unsolved.

The Dane County Sheriff's Office has interviewed hundreds over the years, and although nearly two decades have passed, they believe shared information may help them close the case.

The sheriff's office launched a social media campaign Wednesday on Twitter on Kunz's homicide. They will also post to the Dane County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. They plan on posting once or twice a day in hopes of new leads on the case.

On Thursday on NBC15 News at 10, Leigh Mills delves into the nearly 20-year-old cold case in a Special Report with Sheriff Dave Mahoney, who was a detective when the murdered happened
