New strength training program at Madison West High School

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Tyler Seubert is the new strength and conditioning coach at Madison West High School.

His job involves getting student athletes ready for their sports, but Seubert isn’t a licensed teacher and owns his own gym.

Some say his background sets him apart from a typical strength coach and by taking on the lifting program at the high school, he has also lightened the load for other coaches.

“I will be honest I absolutely love it. It’s been great and it’s taken a burden off of me. I’m typically the person that’s running the weight room. Coach Seubert has been tremendous for our kids giving us great plans and being efficient in the weight room, said Brad Murphy, Madison Head Football Coach.

For Seubert, his job isn’t only about building muscles, but also about building confidence. The concept is so new the WIAA doesn’t even keep tabs on positions like these in the state.
