The organization's goal for 2019 is to collect and refurbish 2,500 bikes to area youth. The executive director of the organization said they will continue to collect bikes until they reach the goal.

People can drop off bikes at 4546 Verona Rd. next to Home Depot.

Free Bikes 4 Kidz will collect and refurbish bikes through the spring. The group plans to give the bikes away through several community organizations on March 23 and 24.

Chuck Sasso said when he and his wife found an abandoned bike, they wanted to put it to good use.

"It was a bike we had found, and it was abandoned and it seemed like this was the best use for it and get it to a child that would make good use of it for this organization," Sasso said.

FB4K Madison formed in 2016. The group gave away 400 bikes in 2017 and 1,100 bikes in 2018.
