One dead in officer-involved shooting in Pardeeville
The State Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) says a Columbia County Sheriff's deputy shot and killed a person in Pardeeville.
Authorities say the call came in around 7:50 p.m. Monday.
DCI says the deputy responded to a domestic disturbance at a home in the village. They say the deputy fired his gun during the incident.
DCI says the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deputy has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
Jim Palmer, the executive director of The Wisconsin Professional Police Association, tells NBC15 their field and legal staff have been sent to Pardeeville.
