Part of Whitney Way closed after car crashes into a pole

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Part of South Whitney Way is blocked after a car crashed into a utility pole.

The Madison Police Department said it happened around 5:15 a.m. on South Whitney Way near Crabapple Lane. A silver Toyota Camry was driving when it hit the pole, causing it to break off.

The 33-year-old woman driving was not injured, and arrested for 2nd offense OMVWI.

MG&E is on-scene and working to repair the damage, but crews expect Whitney Way to be closed from Barton Road to Crabapple Lane for a couple of hours.
