According to an Amtrak representative, both the Amrak Empire Builder trains that were delayed in central Wisconsin have resumed their journeys on Wednesday, August 29th.
The Amtrak passenger and freight trains were stopped on the tracks for more than 12 hours near the Wisconsin Dells and Portage area because of flooding. Passengers were stuck on the train since Tuesday afternoon.
A representative from Amtrak said the eastbound Train 7/27 is more than 18 hours behind schedule and the westbound Train 8/28 is more than 22 hours behind schedule.
