Person rescued from construction site by Fitchburg responders

FITCHBURG, Wis. (WMTV) -- A trauma patient was moved safely from a construction site by the Fitchburg Fire Department Saturday afternoon.

Ropes and a mechanical advantage system were used to move a patient with a technical rescue as part of the department's emergency response, according to the Fitchburg Fire Rescue Facebook page.

The department claims to be prepared for others misfortune through investments in equipment and training.

Fitchburg-Verona EMS assisted at the scene.
