Pepperidge Farm voluntarily recalls 4 varieties of Goldfish crackers

NORWALK, Conn. (WMTV) -- Pepperidge Farm announced a voluntary recall for four different types of Goldfish crackers due to the potential presence of Salmonella.

The company was notified that the whey powder in a seasoning applied to these crackers had the potential to be carrying the bacteria.

The recalled products were distributed throughout the U.S. and no illnesses have been reported.

Here are the affected varieties:
Flavor Blasted® Xtra Cheddar
Flavor Blasted® Sour Cream & Onion
Goldfish® Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar
Goldfish® Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel

In a statement, the company encouraged consumers to refer to this list for full details on the varieties and their packaging.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to eat them. The crackers should be thrown away or returned for a full refund.
