MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)--- An announcement at the Urban League Wednesday will impact the professional lives of black women in the Madison area.

Sabrina Madison, also known as Heymiss Progress announced a brand new Progress Center for Black Women and a 150 thousand dollar fundraising effort.

The Progress Center will bring together the Black Women's Leadership Conference and the Black Business Expo to create new professional development opportunities and collaborative spaces for women of color.

"It creates two new programs," Sabrina Madison said. "The ambition accelerator for black women in leadership, and it creates the black collab, a collaborative space for black entrepreneurs, but the most exciting part is it brings together the opportunity for us to create a small dollar lending program for women of color.
