Man injured after being shot on Madison's west side

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - UPDATE: A 20-year-old man is suffering from non-life-threatening injuries after being shot near the Beltline on Madison's west side.

Madison police say officers were dispatched to just off of the Beltline at Warwick Way and Seminole Highway around 7:24 p.m.

There they found the injured person, who was transported to a local hospital.

Police say they believe there is no ongoing threat to the community. An investigation is ongoing.

Dane County Communications tells NBC15 that a resident in that area reported hearing four gun shots.
