Princeton man dies after fire in Green Lake County

Town of Green Lake, Wis. (WMTV) - A 29-year-old Princeton man has died after a fire at his home in the Town of Green Lake.

The home was located at the 2800 block of Tuleta Hill Road in Town of Green Lake, which is located five miles north of the City of Markesan in southern Green Lake County.

On Sunday at 1:14AM, a fire was reported to the Green Lake County Communications Center.

According to a press release, firefighters arrived on scene at 1:26AM to find the home fully engulfed in flames.

The fire was brought under control and the search team found the victim.

The Wisconsin State Fire Marshall's Office and Green Lake County Detectives is investigating the fire. The cause and the origin is not yet known.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time pending notification of his family.

The Markesan Fire Department was assisted by neighboring fire districts of Brandon-Fairwater, Friesland, Ripon, Marquette, Kingston, and the Fond Du Lac RIT team.

Additional responders were the Markesan Ambulance and Emergency Management, Green Lake County Coroner and Sheriff's Officer, also the State Fire Marshall's Office.
