MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- The dispute over granting Taco Bell Cantina on State Street a liquor license in Madison has taken another turn.
After former mayor of Madison Paul Soglin vetoed a liquor license for the business following the Madison City Council's approval in 2017, Taco Bell sued the city and won.
However, the city appealed the decision. Now, a new step has been taken to settle the ordeal.
Current Madison mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway along with alders Mike Verveer and Patrick Heck have an agreement to grant the license, according to a resolution they filed on Tuesday, April 23.
The resolution will be on the Madison City Council agenda at their meeting on Tuesday, April 30.
