Rock County Sheriff Deputy arrested

JANESVILLE, Wis. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office received information alleging that while off-duty Deputy Sheriff Keegan Kelly, age 26, engaged in behavior that was unlawful. These incidents occurred in the City of Janesville and the Village of Lake Delton, Wisconsin, between Kelly and a female. Lake Delton Police Department was contacted by the victim on April 2, 2019, and initiated a criminal investigation. As a result of their investigations, on April 3, 2019, Janesville and Lake Delton Police were able to substantiate the allegations and determine sufficient probable cause existed to arrest Keegan Kelly.

Deputy Kelly was placed on administrative leave from the Sheriff’s Office by Chief Deputy Tillman. He was relieved of all police authority and had his weapons and Deputy Sheriff commission card confiscated pending the further outcome of both the criminal and internal investigations.

On April 3, 2019, Keegan Kelly was arrested by Janesville Police on misdemeanor charges of Domestic Violence Disorderly Conduct and posted bond. Then, he was arrested by Lake Delton Police on a felony charge of Domestic Violence Strangulation, Domestic Violence Battery and Domestic Violence Disorderly Conduct, taken into custody and transported to the Sauk County Jail where he is waiting for his initial court appearance Friday April, 5 at 2:30 p.m. at the Sauk County Courthouse.
