Sandbags available for Columbia Co. residents

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Wis. (WMTV)--- The river levels in Columbia County are forecasts to rise over the next few days.

Kathy Johnson, the Coordinator for Columbia County Emergency Management, said the Wisconsin River is expected to reach 17.5 feet which is minor flood stage by Monday. The Baraboo River is expected to reach 21.8 feet which is near moderate flood stage by Monday. The river levels for the Fox River and Crawfish River are expected to rise. They will be monitored.

Johnson said people in low lying areas or along a river are encouraged to take action and monitor the river levels for any changes.
