Sassy Cow Creamery issues voluntary recall

COLUMBUS, Wis. (WMTV)---Sassy Cow Creamery has voluntarily recalled some of its milk and ice cream.

According to Sassy Cow Creamery, they discovered during a routine inspection of their equipment that they could not prove with 100% certainty that every ounce of Sassy Cow products were fully pasteurized.

The company said they also have no evidence or proof that every ounce of Sassy Cow products were not pasteurized during this time period.

They said they want to error on the safe side so that’s why they have issued the recall.

The recall includes the following products:

Fluid milk

Sell by/best by dates: June 22-July 13.

Traditional, Organic, Whole, 2%, 1%, Skim, Half and Half, Heavy Cream, Whole Chocolate, 1% Chocolate.

Sizes- Gallons, Half Gallons, Quarts, Pints, ½ pints

Ice Cream

Best by dates: 10/21/17-1/23/18 and 3/21/18-6/23/18

All flavors

Sizes- 3 gallon, 2.5 gallon, half gallon, and quart

They said the creamery has been working full time to replace all of the products that have been recalled as quickly as possible.

You can return the items to the store where they were purchased from for a full refund.
