MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A 29-year-old Madison banker received a call from a scammer claiming he had his daughter and demanded ransom money for her freedom.

According to the Madison Police Department, the strange call came on his personal phone while the 29-year-old was at work last week. When the Madison banker answered the phone call he heard a girl crying and then a gruff voice saying, “Hand me the phone!”
