MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- After a gorgeous Monday, active weather is looking to return for the remainder of the week. A boundary will drape itself through the area with Low Pressure systems riding along that.
First chance of rain looks to be as we move Monday night into Tuesday morning with scattered showers and storms. This initial round of rain will not be all that impressive. Rain totals through Tuesday are only expected to be a round a tenth of an inch with isolated higher totals in the thunderstorms.
The better chance of wet weather will come into play Wednesday and Thursday. This will be as a surge of warmer air pushes into southern Wisconsin. Conditions will be favorable for widespread storm activity and even the chance of some stronger storms by Wednesday evening.
Lingering storm activity Thursday and Friday will start to taper by the weekend. Rain totals through Friday could be in the 1-3 inch range. Right now, the Easter weekend is looking pretty nice with sunshine and mild temperatures well into the 60s!
