MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) This weekend is not exactly conducive for outdoor plans. Tonight, a warm front will move northward. Along and ahead of this boundary isolated showers/storms can be expected.
Saturday we'll keep the threat of showers in the forecast, however, the activity isn't expected to fully ramp up until Saturday night. At that point, our system will undergo rapid intensification. Several rounds of rain will be possible Saturday night into the day Sunday.
Our temperatures will be up and down this weekend as well. Saturday we start off in the warm section of the storm, however, the backside of the storm pushes through Sunday afternoon which will drag down cooler air.
Strong to severe storms along with flooding are all a possibility over the next couple of days. While the flooding threat will be more lowland and urban oriented this weekend, rising river levels will be of concern next week.
